Enjoy a game of FootGolf

Get a few people together and call in to the Golf Centre for a game of FootGolf.

FootGolf is a fantastic blend of soccer and golf, which is great fun and good exercise! Whether you're young or old, if you can kick a ball, you can play FootGolf! The basic idea of the game is to maneuver the ball into the hole using as few shots as possible, just like in traditional golf. For a more complete guide on how to play, you can refer to the rules below or simply ask one of our knowledgeable staff members when you visit.

At the Golf Centre, we maintain a dynamic league table exclusively for FootGolf. The table is reset on a monthly basis, providing you with an opportunity to showcase your skills and potentially claim the number one spot! Will you rise to the challenge? Give it a go – it could be you!

What are the rules of FootGolf?

The main goal of FootGolf is similar to the main goal of golf: to get the ball (in this case a standard size 5 soccer ball) from the teeing ground into the hole in the least number of kicks possible.

Basic Rules

  1. To tee off, you MUST kick your ball from INSIDE THE WHITE SQUARE NEXT TO THE TEE BOX (with the exception of the first hole.) Make sure your kick will not interfere with other players.
  2. Holes 6, 8 and 9 are considered to be “par 4's” if playing from the back tee boxes.
  3. The ball must be played in a single movement – You are not allowed to ”push“ or ”scoop“ the ball with your foot.
  4. Wait to play your next shot until the ball has completely come to rest. It is not permitted to stop the ball from rolling from the wind.
  5. Play the ball where it lies! You are not allowed to move the ball – Exception: You may mark the spot and lift the ball when it may obstruct another player's kick or ball in any way.
  6. Do not kick a ball from the Golf greens – If your ball comes to rest on a Golf green, move it to the nearest spot off the green to kick your shot – No penalty.
  7. Water hazard: If the ball lands in a water hazard, retrieve or replace it within 2 metres (not closer to the hole) from the closest land point from where the ball entered the hazard. Receive a one shot penalty, Alternatively you may place the ball at the position of the previous kick and receive a one shot penalty.
  8. We have added a drop zone beside the river on the 6th hole, if your ball enters the water please use the clearly marked drop zone.
